Quite a hard session at Pridewood, due to unseasonally warm sun
and, at times, seven other anglers on the small pool. I tucked myself away in the shallows, - bumped one fish off on popped-up crust, before I connected with this small, distinctive common: rather pale, instead of bronze scales, and those unusual apricot fins.
Dragonflies were out in force, including a few that looked like large hawkers, except with vivid blue rather than green bodies. No swallows this time. Have they left already?
